Boomerang Scraping Tool

The boomerang is a fundamental tool for tanners, used for scraping large and tough game hides clean of meat, fat, and membranes. It is the perfect tool for scraping the hides of adult deer, moose, seals, beavers, and wild boars. The sharp-edged boomerang is also ideal for thinning thicker hides with ease. This versatile two-handed tool is also effective for gathering bark for vegetable tanning.

This unique tool from the Traditional Tanning Shop is handcrafted in Finland. The blade is forged at the Taidetakomo Seppä Kahiluoto workshop in Åbo, and the birch wood handles and final touches are made at the Rödmossa Snickeri workshop in Kimitoön.
